Sarasota bay fishing report

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

It is hot, both weather and fish. With the high tides we are doing good with topwater plugs by the mangroves at day light.. the trout , ladyfish, jacks and bluefish are biting very good . Whitebait and penfish are doing good for snook and tarpon on the beach. great trips for the family and kids. But also great trips for the gamer. Reds to 15 pounds are still wowing the gamers with incredible fighting power. Lets get together, I love the sometimes unrepeatable phrases I get when the hookup happens,,lol…

Sarasota bay fishing report ..

The trip friday am.. was good, acouple smaller snook, but the redfish where on fire.. Over a doven slot reds off some mangroves. @ hooked fish by some docks proved alittle to much for my young fisherman as it was all they could do to hold the rods. Figure these fish in the 12 to 15 pound range. They had such a good time they talked about booking monday also.. Snook are hot on the beach, trout, macks, blue fish are plentiful on the flats.. I see some steady great fishing this next month..

Fishing report week of 6/22/09

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

This week we took Redfish from under the deeper docks up to 14 pounds. Spotted sea trout, sheepshead, Spanish mackeral, Bluefish, Ladyfish. All biting very well. Had a trip with several young people under 10. Was so great to see the excitement as they fought the fish one after the other. I also had great family trips with swimming, picking up shells on the shallow sandbars with clear water, and no waves or currents. Tarpon and Snook are still very plentiful on the beach, testing both tackle and angler alike. Still have a few days open for trips.
